What Lipu Says About Litton's Inclusion In T20 World Cup

Litton Das is not performing well with the bat lately, leading to his exclusion from the One-Day squad against Sri Lanka. In the first Test of the series, he got out cheaply due to a lack of responsibility. He failed to make any significant contribution in the second and final tests as well.

With the Sri Lanka series over, the focus for the Tigers now shifts solely to the T20 World Cup. The process of selecting the squad has already begun, and Litton Das finds himself in the preliminary list. However, there are doubts regarding his inclusion, as mentioned by chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu.

Lipu expressed concerns about Litton's form and emphasized the need for self-realization among the players. Meanwhile, BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon suggested that Litton may need some rest to regain his form.

In response to these remarks, Lipu stated that they don't have many alternatives in hand and there won't be any trials for the World Cup squad. Instead, Bangladesh will organize a fitness camp ahead of the tournament, even before the Zimbabwe series. According to Lipu, all coaches will return to their respective duties during the break from April 20 to 22.
