Bangladesh Adds 1.07 Million Mobile Phone Subscribers in October

Bangladesh ended October with more than 181.32 mobile phone subscribers, up from 180.25 million in September, reports media.

The number of mobile SIM users increased by 1.07 million in October compared with September this year, according to the data of the Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC).

It was 178.61 million at the end of August 2021.

Subscribers are the biometric verified subscribers/subscriptions who have any activity (voice, data, sms etc.) at least once in the preceding 90 days, the telecoms regulator said.

In October, Grameenphone users stood at 84.12 million, Robi at 53.54 million, Banglalink at 37.17 million and Teletalk at 6.49 million, which were respectively 83.78 million, 53.04 million, 37.02 million, and 6.41 million in September.

The number of mobile SIM users reached 171.854 million at the end of January 2021.
