Cyber attacks on several government and private websites

A group of Indian hackers threatened that they will operate a major cyber attack in Bangladesh. Earlier this threat was declared in ahead of August 15. After this threat, SERT issued a warning across the country. However, within this warning, various government and private offices have been subjected to several attacks including data leakage.

Among them, it has been reported that there has been an incident of information leakage of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh and Directorate General of Health Services. The leak of the company's information is considered to be particularly significant as it contains the information of about 10,000 investors and investment applicants.

Apart from this, several other organizations' websites have been also hacked. However, they were known to be very low-level hacking. Organizations whose websites have been hacked include various police units, ticketing websites, bank websites. But it has been reported that they were recovered within a few hours.
