Amazon To Invest Up To $4 Bn In AI Firm Anthropic

E-commerce giant Amazon has revealed its plans to invest as much as $4 billion in Anthropic, an artificial intelligence company, and acquire a minority stake in the firm. Anthropic, which was founded by former executives from OpenAI, recently unveiled its AI chatbot named Claude 2. Furthermore, Anthropic will make use of custom semiconductors developed by AWS to train the foundational models that underpin its AI applications. These models are extensive AI programs trained on vast datasets, allowing them to be adaptable for a wide range of tasks.
