Authority has suspended the tourist ship service on the Teknaf-Saint Martin route. Fear has spread on the border of Teknaf due to the tension in Myanmar. After the Ghumdhum-Tumbru border area of ​​Bandarban, an unstable situation is emerging in the Teknaf border area of ​​Cox's Bazar. As a result, the decision to suspension of the tourist ship service on the Teknaf-Saint Martin route has been taken.

Today, Sunday (October 2), the president of the Sea Cruise Operators Association, Bangladesh (SCOAB) Tofail Ahmad confirmed the matter.

He said, due to the conflict inside Myanmar, we have ordered the suspension of the tourist ship service on the route from Teknaf to Saint Martin. However, as an alternative route, ships will operate from Chattogram and Dhaka.

Teknaf Upazila Acting Executive Officer Erfanur Haque said that instructions have been given from the authority above to suspend the tourist ship service on the Teknaf-Saint Martin route. Tourist ship service will remain close from October till further instructions.
