Fire at Warehouse in India's Capital Kills 9

At least nine people have died and 10 others injured after a fire erupted in a clothes warehouse in Northwest Delhi.

The fire broke out in Delhi's Kirari area around 12:30am (local time) on Monday, reports NDTV.

The injured were taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital and other nearby hospitals for treatment.

The warehouse was situated on the ground floor of a three-storey building, which did not have any proper equipment to douse a fire and had only one staircase.

On information, eight fire tenders were sent to the spot and the flames were brought under control by 3.50am, reports Scroll.in.

Earlier on December 8, At least 43 people were killed and scores injured in India’s capital New Delhi when a fire swept through a six-storey factory where laborers were sleeping, government officials said.

Nearly 30 fire tenders were rushed to the spot and injured were admitted in four nearby hospitals.
