Coronavirus Kills 3,285 People Globally

The coronavirus death toll today jumped to 3,285 globally as it infected 95,480.

Meanwhile, 53,688 people had recovered from the illness at the same time.

The confirmation of a third person with coronavirus in California has reported its first death from COVID-19 and declared a state of emergency.

Of these, China has reported 3,012 deaths and 80,409 positive cases.

The World Health Organization (WHO) Wednesday said the mortality rate of the virus was 3.4 percent. In comparison, the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) killed about 10 percent of patients infected, while the seasonal flu’s death rate is 0.1 percent.
