2 Foreigners Pushed Back from Dhaka Airport

Two foreigners were sent back from Shahjalal International Airport to their respective home countries in the capital on Tuesday as Bangladesh suspended all sorts of on-arrival VISAs as a security measure to test for coronavirus.

The foreigners were from the USA and the Ivory Coast.

Confirming the news, Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul-Ahsan, also Airport Director said, "The government suspended VISAs on arrival until March 31. These two foreigners came without any VISA which is why they were sent back on the same flight."

Earlier on March 16, a Qatar Airways flight with 96 passengers from Italy and other European countries arrived at Dhaka Airport.
