Coronavirus Death Toll in United Kingdom Rises by 708

The United Kingdom has recorded 708 new deaths from coronavirus, the largest one-day rise since the epidemic started.

According to statistics published by the Department of Health and Social Services, a record of 4,313 persons have already died in the United Kingdom. The statistics are actually at 5 p.m. (12 p.m. ET) on April 3 but was released a day later.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases at 9 a.m. (4 a.m. ET) April 4 is 41,903, a rise of 3,735 from the previous day's figures.
