US Death Toll from Coronavirus Tops 10,000

According to a Reuters tally, the US death toll from the novel coronavirus topped 10,000 on Monday.

The United States has the world's third-highest number of reported disease deaths, exceeded by only Italy with 16,523 and Spain with 13,055.

White House medical experts have forecast that, in the pandemic, between 100,000 and 240,000 Americans may be killed, even though strict instructions are enforced to remain home.
