Zero Coronavirus Death on Chinese Mainland for 13th Day

No coronavirus (COVID-19) deaths have been reported on the Chinese mainland for the 13th straight day until Monday, the health authorities said Tuesday.

Overall reported infections on the mainland had hit 82,836 and 4,633 people had died of the disease by Monday, said Mi Feng, the National Health Commission's spokesperson at a press conference.

Monday also saw the largest number of imported cases discharged in a single day, Mi said.

According to the Commission, the overall number of cases brought into the mainland exceeded 1,639 on Monday, of which 1,087 were released from hospitals after recovery.
