COVID-19: 174,020 Cases, 4,981 Deaths Reported in India

India has reported 174,020 cases and 4,981 coronavirus deaths before Saturday, according to the latest data from worldometer.

While 82,676 patients have recovered, 86,363 cases remain active in the country, the source said.

On Saturday, India recorded 7,964 cases of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) and 265 deaths in the last 24 hours. The other highest single-day average, data from the Indian Union Ministry of Health have revealed.

This is the second day in a row that India has seen an increase of more than 7,000 Covid-19 cases per day.

So far, Maharashtra has recorded 62,228 Covid-19 incidents, including 2098 deaths. There have been 20,246 infections in Tamil Nadu, including 154 fatalities, and 17,386 cases of Covid-19 in Delhi are the third worst-affected region in the country.
