Beirut Blast: Death Toll Climbs to 154

The casualties from the huge blasts that shook the Port of Beirut on Tuesday hit 154 to Friday.

Lebanon's health minister, Hamad Hassan, received details on Friday, reports Xinhua.

The number of critically wounded patients exceeded 120 because the fractured glasses triggered severe injury that needed surgery.

In fact, 20% of the 5000 casualties are in need of hospitalization.

Two large blasts shook the Port of Beirut on Tuesday night, killing at least 154 people and injuring over 5,000 others, thus doing significant harm to the area.
