World COVID-19 Deaths Reach 1,143,399

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, the global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,143,399 as of Saturday morning.

In addition, around the world, 42,135,911 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

Worldometer reports in its daily updates that 9,838,908 of the 9,915,444 patients actually infected are in mild condition, which is 99 percent.

On the other hand, of the currently infected patients, 76,536 are in critical condition, and there is just one percentage.

So far, 28,480,744 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 14 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Friday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,761.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 396,413 as 1,586 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
