COVID-19: Global Death Toll Reaches 1,180,317

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, the global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,180,317 as of Friday morning.

In addition, around the world, 44,945,080 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

Of the 11,142,220 patients currently infected, 11,059,984 are in mild condition, which is 99 percent, as reported by Worldometer in its daily updates.

On the other hand, of the currently infected patients, 82,236 are in critical condition, and there is just one percent.

So far, 30,237,723 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 25 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 5,886.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 404,760 as 1,681 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
