COVID-19: Global Death Toll Reaches 1,212,070

Global deaths from a novel coronavirus infection reached 1,212,070 as of Wednesday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.

In addition, 47,328,401 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed worldwide.

Although cases of new infections are still on the rise among the infected world population, most of them are in mild condition. 

Among the 12,271,876 patients actually infected, 12,183,750 are in mild condition, which is 99 percent, according to Worldometer's daily updates.

On the other hand, 88,126 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 31,523,055 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 17 more Covid-19 patients died within the last 24 hours of Tuesday, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 5,983.

In addition , the tally of infections has risen to 412,647, with 1,659 new cases reported in the last 24 hours.
