Biden Says He’s Preparing for White House

Joe Biden says that while he was not declared the winner in his race against President Donald Trump, he is already planning to assume the presidency, reports AP.

“I want people to know we’re not waiting to get the work done,” he said late Friday in remarks to the nation.

Biden said that this week, as the U.S. reports daily cases, he and his running mate, Kamala Harris, held updates on the coronavirus and the economy.

He remembered that almost 240,000 people died as a result of the pandemic and said that he wants those families to know that they're not alone.

He also addressed the millions of Americans who remain out of work and are struggling to pay rent or buy food.

“We don’t have any more time to waste on partisan warfare,” he said.

In the race between Biden and Trump, the Associated Press has not yet declared a winner because neither candidate has reached the 270 Electoral College votes needed to carry the White House.
