Global COVID-19 Death Toll Reaches 1,291,937

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, the global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,291,937 as of Friday morning.

In addition, around the world, 52,657,828 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the 14,580,972 patients currently infected, 14,485,247 are in a moderate condition of 99 percent, according to Worldometer's daily updates.

On the other hand, 95,725 of the patients actually infected are in critical condition and their percentage is just one.

So far, 34,093,802 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 13 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Thursday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6,140.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 427,198 as 1,845 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
