World Coronavirus Death Toll Reaches 1,701,145

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,701,145 as of Tuesday morning.

In addition, around the world, 77,315,962 Covid-19 cases have been reported.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 21,415,579 infected patients 21,309,300 are in mild condition, which is 99.5 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 106,279 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.5.

So far, 43,574,800 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 32 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Monday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,312.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 502,18 as 1,470 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
