World Coronavirus Death Toll Reaches 1,749,312

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,749,312 as of Saturday morning.

In addition, around the world, 79,799,931 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

21,872,525 of the 21,978,310 patients currently infected are in mild condition, which is 99.5 percent, reported by Worldometer in its daily updates.

105,785 of the patients actually infected, on the other hand, are in critical condition, and their percentage is just 0.5.

So far, 44,952,187 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 20 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Friday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,398.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 507,265 as 1,163 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
