Global COVID-19 Death Toll Reaches 1,959,485

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,959,485 as of Wednesday morning.

In addition, around the world, 91,539,016 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

Worldometer records in its daily updates that 24,102,002 of the 24,212,094 patients actually infected are in mild condition, which is 99.5 percent.

110,092 of the already infected patients, on the other hand, are in critical condition, and their proportion is just 0.5.

So far, 50,570,532 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 16 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Tuesday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,819.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 524,020 as 718 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
