Global COVID-19 Deaths Reach 2,029,845

According to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University, the global death count from the novel coronavirus infection reached 2,029,845 as of Monday morning.

In addition, around the world, 94,996,432 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed.

Although new infection cases continue to rise among the world's infected population at present, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 25,271,310 infected patients 25,158,088 are in mild condition, which is 99.6 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 113,222 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only 0.4.

So far, 52,268,653 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 23 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Sunday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 7,906.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 527,632 as 569 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
