As a result of the rainstorms in Beijing, 11 people have reportedly died total and another 27 are still missing, according to local authorities.
Mentougou and Fangshan, the two worst-affected areas, each saw four fatalities. Additional fatalities have been reported, including four in Changping District and one in Haidian District, according to the city's departments for drought and flood assistance.
Out of the 27 people reported missing, 13 are missing in Mentougou, 10 in Changping, and 4 in Fangshan.
According to the headquarters, Typhoon Doksuri's impacts have caused persistent heavy rain to pummel the city since July 29. The western, southwestern, and southern regions have had particularly severe rainstorms.
As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, Beijing recorded an average precipitation of 257.9 millimeters, with the urban area averaging 235.1 millimeters.
In Mentougou and Fangshan, the average precipitation reached 470.2 millimeters and 414.6 millimeters, respectively.
So far, around 127,000 residents across the city have been relocated due to the rainfall.
