US to Urge Getting New Covid-19 Boosters

To combat a fresh wave of illnesses, the Biden administration wants to urge every American to get a coronavirus booster vaccine this fall, a White House official said on Sunday.

Although the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are reporting an uptick in hospital admissions and viral infections, the official said that overall levels are still low.

The new Covid -19 vaccine from Moderna (MRNA.O) is effective against the "Eris" and "Fornax" subvariants in people, according to preliminary results released on Thursday.
