Historical 9/11 Turns 22 Today

22 years have passed since the horrific attack on the Twin Towers in the United States. On September 11, 2001, four passenger jets were hijacked and crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York. 2 thousand 977 people lost their lives in this, one of the worst attacks of the century. The whole world is remembering the day through various programs.

Not only Americans but the whole world was shocked by the horror of the attack known as 'Nine Eleven'.

Al-Qaeda, an extremist ideological organization in Afghanistan, hijacked four planes simultaneously through the airspace of Eastern America. Then the planes hit important buildings in New York and Washington.

About 3,000 people lost their lives in this attack. Thousands of people were injured. The attack changed the perception of world politics and military security, spreading panic all over the world. The United States and its allies accuse al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden of planning and leading the attack. At that time, the Taliban government of Afghanistan refused to hand over bin Laden to the United States. Later, the US administration announced military operations in Afghanistan.
