Head of the BRAC migration system Shariful Islam announcing that Malaysia Airlines will arrive in Bangladesh sometime after 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.

On Wednesday, two lawyers representing Bangladeshi expatriate Md Rayhan Kabir said that the country's immigration had agreed to expel Rayhan, but that they would not file any proceedings against him.

Since the Malaysian police did not lodge a case against Rayhan, he did not face any legal difficulties.

On 3 July 2020, Al Jazeera released a documentary, "Locked Up in Malaysia's Lockdown," which reported the mistreatment of migrant workers by the Malaysian authorities under the Movement Control Order enforced to respond to Covid-19.
