Pop Legend Ferdous Wahid in ICU

Eminent Bangladeshi singer Ferdous Wahid has been taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) ICU on Friday.

The pop icon has been suffering from high fever for the last few days and was taken to CMH on Thursday after his condition worsened, according to his personal assistant Mosharraf.

Ferdous Wahid was tested negative for COVID-19 at the Anwar Khan Modern Hospital last week. He was admitted to CMH on Thursday, though, after the doctors had found little change in his physical condition.

Mosharraf also informed the media that the 67-year-old singer had heart failure, high blood pressure, and diabetes. His son and famous singer Habib Wahid takes care of his dad, Mosharraf added.

On Thursday, Ferdous Wahid's long-time friend, Fakir Alamgir wrote on Facebook that the pop star is seriously ill and is being handled at CMH. He also reported that Ferdous has not yet obtained his second COVID-19 test report, despite being negative in the first.
